【摘要】:Samplingfromthevadosezonemaybeanimportantcomponentofsomegroundwatermonitoringstrategies.Itcanprovideinformationregardingcontaminanttransportandattenuationinthevadosezone.Thisinformationcanbeusedformitigatingpotentialproblemspriortodegradationofagroundwaterresource(1).Thechoiceofappropriatesamplingdevicesforaparticularlocationisdependentonvariouscriteria.SpecificguidelinesfordesigningvadosezonemonitoringprogramshavebeendiscussedbyMorrison(1),Wilson(2),Wilson(3),Everett(4),Wilson(5),Everett,etal(6),Wilson(7),Everett,etal(8),Everett,etal(9),Robbins,etal(10),MerryandPalmer(11),U.S.EPA(12),Ball(13),andWilson(14).Ingeneral,itisprudenttocombinevariousunsaturatedandfreedrainagesamplersintoaprogram,sothatthedifferentflowregimesmaybemonitored.Thisguidedoesnotattempttopresentdetailsofinstallationanduseoftheequipmentdiscussed.However,anefforthasbeenmadetopresentthosereferencesinwhichthespecifictechniquesmaybefound.1.1Thisguidecoverstheequipmentandproceduresusedforsamplingpore-liquidfromthevadosezone(unsaturatedzone).Theguideislimitedtoinsitutechniquesanddoesnotincludesoilcorecollectionandextractionmethodsforobtainingsamples.1.2Thetermx201C;pore-liquidx201D;isapplicabletoanyliquidfromaqueouspore-liquidtooil.However,allofthesamplersdescribedinthisguideweredesigned,andareusedtosampleaqueouspore-liquidsonly.Theabilitiesofthesesamplerstocollectotherpore-liquidsmaybequitedifferentthanthosedescribed.1.3Someofthesamplersdescribedinthisguidearenotcurrentlycommerciallyavailable.Thesesamplersarepresentedbecausetheymayhavebeenavailableinthepast,andmaybeencounteredatsiteswithestablishedvadosezonemonitoringprograms.Inaddition,someofthesedesignsareparticularlysuitedtospecificsituations.Ifneeded,thesesamplerscouldbefabricated.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.6Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Thewordx201C;Standardx201D;inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
