【摘要】:1.1TheserequirementscoverventingsystemsintendedforventingCategoryII,III,orIVgas-burningappliancesasdefinedbytheStandardforGas-FiredCentralFurnaces(exceptDirect-VentCentralFurnaces),ANSIZ21.47andtheNationalFuelGasCode,NFPA54.VentingsystemscoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedtobeusedwithCategoryII,III,andIVappliancesthathavebeeninstalledinaccordancewithNFPA54,andwithcodessuchastheBOCANationalMechanicalCode,theStandardMechanicalCode,theUniformMechanicalCode,andlocalcodes.1.2Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
