【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthechemical,mechanical,anddimensionalrequirementsformetrichardenedsteelwashersforusewithfastenershavingnominalthreaddiametersM12throughM100.Thesewashersareintendedforgeneral-purposemechanicalandstructuralusewithbolts,nuts,studs,andotherinternallyandexternallythreadedfasteners.ThesewashersaresuitableforusewithfastenerscoveredinSpecificationsA325M,A490M,A563MandwithfastenersofSpecificationF568Mpropertyclasses8.8andhigher.1.2Thetypesofwasherscoveredinthisspecificationare:1.2.1Type18212;Washersmadeofcarbonsteel.1.2.2Type38212;WashersmadeofsteelhavingatmosphericcorrosionresistanceandweatheringcharacteristicscomparabletothatofsteelscoveredinSpecificationsA242/A242M,A588/A588M,andA709/A709M.Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthesesteelsissubstantiallybetterthanthatofcarbonsteelwithorwithoutcopperaddition.See5.1.Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,thesesteelscanbeusedbare(uncoated)formanyapplications.1.2.3ThisspecificationprovidesforfurnishingType3tochemicalcompositionoraCorrosionResistanceIndex(CRI)of6orhigheratthesuppliersoption.1.3Thestylesofwasherscoveredinthisspecificationare:1.3.1CircularWashers8212;Circularwashersinnominalsizes12mmthrough100mm,aresuitableforapplicationswheresufficientspaceexistsandangularitypermits.1.3.2BeveledWashers8212;Beveledwashersaresquareandrectangular,innominalsizes12mmthrough36mm,withabeveled1:6surfaceforusewithAmericanStandardbeamsandchannels.1.3.3ClippedWashers8212;Clippedwashersarecircularorbeveledforusewherespacelimitationsnecessitatethatonesidebeclipped.1.4TermsusedinthisspecificationaredefinedinTerminologyF1789unlessotherwisedefinedherein.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Note18212;ThisspecificationisthemetriccounterpartofSpecificationF436.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
